  3. How long had it been? Only months, maybe less but it felt like years. The diagnosis, the surgery, the treatments, passing in a blur and all for nothing. Taking a deep breath that threatened to become a sob, she filled out the For Sale classified ad as her tears followed the wrinkles down her face.

  4. He checked out his cleanup work. Pretty good if he did say so himself. No one would ever know someone was murdered in this bed. Good thing the blood had missed the mattress completely or he'd never get his money back.

    He filled out the forms for his new classified ads:

    WANTED: Disabled, elderly roommate. Cheap rent.
