The Book of Angels - Bluebell Short Story Slam - Friday Flash

Written for Bluebell Books Short Story Slam 20 . Write a story, any theme or genre, exactly 55 words in length.

  3. You get a lot across in 55 words, and this is certainly interesting and well-written. It's just...I didn't feel any sadness in this story, and the surviving daughter's dialogue seems almost excited. It's great that you avoided being sentimental or melodramatic but you do need some emotion, some grief.

  6. I could actually feel this as I read it. Broke my heart to imagine myself doing this for my son. You did so much within the 55 word limit that I'm floored. So very well done. Be blessed.
